    Great job, guys!!!Let’s keep it up!!!

    I always keep on saying that the day M7 militarily intimidated our Namunswa the Kabaka of Buganda, that is the day he crossed the rubicon. The real fight from all of us here and those back home to liberate both Nnyaffe Buganda and the whole of Uganda is now on. There is now no turning back on this!

    On 10/07/09, I wrote the following words:

    “These are some of the resolutions I have adopted from today onwards up until these guys reverse their criminal and sectarian proposals against His Majesty Kabaka Mutebi, the Buganda Kingdom, the Baganda and the people of Buganda:
    1) I have ceased to respect any more the Uganda anthem whenever and wherever it will be sung;
    2) I have ceased to respect any more the Uganda flag wherever it will be;
    3) I have ceased to respect any symbol or event that represents Uganda as a country;
    4) My family and I will never give any respect to any person or group of persons, government or non -governmental agency or organization, business group or agency who or that are deliberately out to demean or negatively campaign His Majesty Kabaka Mutebi II, the Buganda Kingdom, the Baganda and the people of Buganda …”

    And guess what?? In the Sunday Monitor of 10/11/09, David Jako Waluluka (walulukadavid@yahoo.co.uk)writes the following LETTER which captures the mood of many Ugandans regarding the Ugandan rulers vis-a-vis the Ugandan national symbols:

    “Respect our flag

    On Indepedence Day, a media house gave out free Ugandan flag imitations that they inserted in the newspaper. It was a brilliant idea but to my dismay almost all readers that purchased the paper either dropped or simply left them with the vender. Fellow Ugandans, we must know that our flag represents us and must be respected. I now perfectly understand why president museveni is preaching patriotism. We must emulate the British and the Americans whose love for their country is legendary.”

    Well, well…, while I appreciate David’s agony’s in seeing many Ugandans increasingly disrepecting their rulers and national symbols, I must think him for bringing out the general feelings of Ugandans to all of us regarding the Ugandan rulers and the national flag. A word to David though: In the two countries he quotes, patriotism is is not merely preached but lived by the leaders of these countries. Unless someone here believes that Ugandans are fools, you can’t pretend to preach “LOVE YOUR COUNTRY AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF” while you the ruler, your family, tribesmates and all your cohorts are living beyond that country’s means. Two state-of-the-art presidential jets while 90% of your country’s population cannot afford a decent life? Man, you must be kidding yourself!!!

    Wangaala nnyo ayi Ssabasajja Kabaka!!!!

Lets start a civil disobdience. Peopel should buy only, those things necessary to sustain life. We can do it. Come on guys, lets roll.
