Over one year ago, Uganda MP for Makindye and one of Buganda’s best political thinkers challenged the people of occupied Buganda to think about the concept of a legal “divorce” from Uganda. He cited, among other reasons, the marginalization of Buganda, endemic corruption that has been institutionalized by President Museveni’s government as reasons for Buganda to consider divorce.
